Hi there! I'm Katie, mom to 3 girls and proud owner of a sweet minivan. I was a teacher for 8 years and then 4 years ago I started a home day care. I spend my days making grilled cheese sandwiches, cutting up food into bite-sized pieces, and changing diapers. I also have this blog, which I started on a whim because that's how I roll. I hope that this blog gives you comfort in knowing that as parents we are all in this sometimes sinking ship together.
Ten Random Facts About Me (in no particular order):
1. I am impulsive.
2. Besides something happening to one of my children, I am PETRIFIED of tornadoes. I seriously use to have nightmares about them.
3. I like wine...and like beer even more.
4. If I won the lottery, I would probably have one more child...and I would like to buy a ranch and start an animal rescue/shelter.
5. I like to make people laugh.
6. I have a really bad $400/month habit. It's called Target.
7. I NEVER ever thought I would have 3 daughters, but I love that my girls have sisters:)
8. I am a spaz.
9. I do not like confrontation at all. I avoid it at all costs, but I am not a pushover either (although it is really hard for me to say "no" to people).
10. I have known my best friends for well over 20 years.
I have said #4 to my husband a BUNCH. I would choose an English Mastiff Rescue. I also have 3 kids so I definitely would need to hit the lotto to have one more!
ReplyDeleteSo, we may be sisters seperated at birth. Love the blog. Love your random list of facts because I can relate to almost all of them (my fear is of birds, not tornadoes). I am deathly afraid of the feathered species lol. And Target...can't walk into a target without spending at least $200. I am convinced they pump drugs through the air vent. I have five kids (4 boys and a girl) so any time you need to borrow a child, let me know haha.
ReplyDeletejust HAVE one more (or 2...or 3). we were only going to have 2 kids. and whoops i have 5. it works out, and i STILL go to target!
ReplyDeleteIf you are unfamiliar with the Versatile Blogger Award, it is a wonderful way for bloggers to acknowledge each other's hard word. It helps to encourage a positive attitude toward one another as well as complement each other. I recently received this award. I have been following your blog and loved it so I am handing the torch to you. To continue the pay it forward model you read my post here and link back to it once you have written your own.
ReplyDeleteFound you on Facebook. I am a spaz too. Glad to meet you. :)
ReplyDeleteI think we're related. For reals. Except for the whole daughter thing. Have we said this before?? I would love to have an animal rescue too! And I would have another baby in a heartbeat if my hubby would consent (and spend some time with other "extra-curriculars" other than XBox). So yea. I just love you. That is all.
ReplyDeleteHi,
